A cartoon about Nokia’s provision of intercept capability to Iran and people who were arrested in Iran by IRI regime using intercept capabilities.

If you use anything by Nokia, I would advise against it.
Last year, Nokia Siemens Network is what provided Iran’s telecom company with the technology that’s used to intercept the Internet communications of citizens to an unprecedented degree. The technology allows them to even do thing like read and change content of everything from e-mails and Internet phone calls, to images and messages on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The technology enables authorities to not only block communications but monitor it to gather information about individuals, as well as altering it for disinformation purposes.Last month here, people started boycotting their products and services. Even people that have been sympathetic to the reasons why we have protested have done the same thing. The demand for things like handsets have fallen and people have even been shunning using SMS messaging. If you know this, and still use anything made by Nokia, then to me that means what you support is a company that has helped a country trying to censor and silence their citizens.
